Saturday 12 January, 9am – 2pm
If you haven’t experienced the buzz of being at one of the Bellarine’s largest family friendly events of the summer school holidays, then you need to make your way to Cottage by the Sea in Queenscliff for their Annual Fair on Saturday 12 January, 2019. Cottage by the Sea is the regions very own children’s charity that provides seaside camps for underprivileged young people throughout Victoria. The Annual Fair is the not-for-profit’s largest public fundraiser every year and all money raised on the day goes to “The Cottage”.
There’s not much you won’t find at the Cottage by the Sea Annual Fair: Market fresh fruit and vegetables from Glynn Harvey, Devonshire Tea overlooking The Rip, live music, new toys, books, plants, the best White Elephant stall on the coast and an abundance of homemade foods that will fill you up from breakfast to dinner. The event is run thanks to a dedicated band of volunteers that ensure each year is bigger and better than the last.
Cottage by the Sea was established in Queenscliff in 1890, making it one of Australia’s oldest charities and receives no on-going government funding. Without events such as the Annual Fair and the volunteers that work tirelessly to organise it and other similar events, the charity would not be able to offer the inspirational services that it does.
The gates are open from 9am and close at 2pm and a gold coin donation is asked for upon entry.
Donations for the fair are being accepted now at Cottage by the Sea, 29 Flinders Street, Queenscliff during office hours, Monday to Friday.
