For 26 years Reilly’s U-Drive have been in the business of moving people. Owners: Craig, Maria, Elizabeth and Faye supply every bus with its own mobile phone for the driver, ensuring they can be reached at all times or use as required. A call to a parent is not outside their role requirements as for late night school drop offs where parents should be waiting, a Reilly’s bus will not drop off and go. They will contact the parents where needed and wait with the student until they arrive and knowing they are safe. All drivers are First Aid trained as well as trained in the usage of an EpiPen. They all have over five years’ experience or more, in driving either large vehicles or large buses. Reilly’s U-drive currently employ 40 drivers, both male and female, driving a variety of hours each week. They understand the responsibility of their role, as well as making their customers feel welcomed.

Every bus in their fleet has been fitted with a seatbelt which was amongst the first of the changes made once they purchased the business, and continue to do as the fleet expands. This is very surprisingly not a legal requirement, and one that not all bus lines provide. For Reilly’s U-Drive however, safety is their number one priority and this is just one of their many safety measures in ensuring their precious passengers are safely belted in, on their journey. There are also ongoing high maintenance programs in place for their fleet with servicing done regularly with Daimler/Mercedes and Isuzu. They believe in supporting local business and the local economy. Every vehicle has a km limit between services and will be serviced well before the expiration of that limit, to ensure every vehicle is at peak performance and safety. In addition, they aim to provide later model vehicles for both safety and comfort, with their smaller vehicles being turned over every 5-7 years.

Reilly’s U-Drive is also consistently providing vehicles for a variety of football games and weekends away, and they’ve lost count of the number of buses that have travelled the highway to Melbourne to watch Geelong bring home the premiership…

They also regularly transport passengers enjoying cricket and golf weekends locally, Echuca and Moama are also a firm favourite, as is Mornington Peninsula and as far as South Australia. They are licensed and authorized to travel anywhere and have done various trips to the Gold Coast and even as far as Cairns. Their preference however is to keep within the state, though they are extremely diverse in their offering and cater to all people, and can custom tailor to their travel needs. They are also a firm favorite for day trips transporting groups to wineries and food venues to enjoy a great day out.

As their name states, U-Drive and yes, this is an option if that is your preference. You can hire a 12- seater Minibus on a car license for 24 hours which is contracted and paid for upfront. It includes a full tank of fuel and is presented in a highly clean and tidy state. The expectation is that this is then returned with a full tank of fuel and clean and clutter free. With a starting price of $297, this is a reasonable rate for a safe journey and a quality experience. Add a driver, so everyone can sit back and enjoy their day ahead, and for an additional $50+gst per hour, you will be safely transported to and from your venue, knowing you are in great hands. For larger vehicles from 25-seater buses and more, a truck license is required so U-Drive or a driver, the choice is absolutely yours. Their regular clients also enjoy a corporate account rate.
