25 September 2024

The final stage of Bellarine Lakes Country Club has just been completed and as the only retirement village on the Bellarine and Geelong with a private golf course as well as offering a wide variety of exceptional facilities. In addition, new home and stamp duty savings are offered making it the perfect time to be a part of this wonderful lifestyle.

Each new home offers plenty of space and a clever design:

Eden Beach design offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a study, open plan living, extensive outdoor entertaining and a double garage. A stylish kitchen featuring stone bench tops, loads of storage and quality appliances.  The home has all the features you could desire and the comfort of low maintenance living with resort style facilities in your own backyard.

Belford Waters is a spacious two-bedroom open plan design again with a generous outdoor area and as with all homes at Bellarine Lakes, all homes are positioned to enjoy optimum light throughout.

The enviable resort style living facility includes; a private golf course (GA rated), a 4-rink bowling green, tennis court, hobby workshop, gymnasium, indoor heated swimming pool and outdoor lap pool, alfresco dining and a beautifully appointed community clubhouse which houses a cinema, billiard room, craft room, medical room, library, fully equipped catering kitchen, club bar and even indoor carpet bowls.
In addition to scheduled monthly events there are around 30 activity groups offering a diverse range of activities including; cycling, fishing, aqua aerobics, walking groups, wine appreciation, craft and card groups.

Di, as pictured, is a resident of Bellarine and shared “I still work part time, enjoy playing a bit of golf and I love the indoor and outdoor swimming pools.  The outside pool is about 28 degrees, so it’s nicer in winter than it is outside.   I also enjoy going to the happy hours, I sometimes use the gym and I just love taking walks as there is great walking tracks here. Everybody is friendly.  Even if you go out at 6 am, there will be somebody that will say hello or run or ride past you and there’s a lot of people who enjoy walking their dogs.  So, it’s just a great place to be and a really good sense of community. There is a lot of things to do, if you choose and there are so many wonderful people.”

Bellarine Lakes is also well positioned within Geelong.  It’s easy to get to and close to the Bellarine Peninsula and wineries, and it is only ten minutes in the car to the Geelong city centre.  There is also plenty of shopping, supermarkets close by and a bus stop at the front of the Country Club that goes to the train station via the city centre. There is also a café that’s located just outside the entrance of Bellarine Lakes and it’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“It’s just so good, I feel secure, and I feel supported. My neighbours are always around if I need them. I can also just lock up and leave when going on holidays, knowing everything will be taken care of.  My mail is collected, the landscapers do the front yards, and my neighbours keep an eye on my home, but there is never anything to worry about. I think a lot of people don’t have a community aspect where they live and it’s just great to have people around you at the same stage in their lives.  It’s also great because all of those maintenance issues on your house go away and there’s a lot of hours in the day, which you can spend doing whatever you want, rather than being a slave to the house.”

John and Anne pictured here with friends Sharon and Michael from Bellarine Lakes Club at the Whiskery, Teddy and the Fox at the Bellarine Peninsula, moved from Mornington Peninsula and have embraced their relocation.

John commented “We lived in Australia for fifty five years and had only been to the Bellarine twice, so we were strangers to the area.  It’s a revelation.  We are close to the beautiful coast and CBD.  There is great health infrastructure, shopping and the traffic compared to the Mornington Peninsula is so much easier. We live in the Eden Beach, it’s a really lovely size (21 squares), with very generous rooms, high ceilings and it’s just so beautifully done.  We are very happy to have space for a garden as we are keen gardeners and we live on the edge of the golf course, which has a very nice outlook and the streetscape here is just lovely. I am involved with the Golf Club and play a few times a week.  I also do singing for fun, which is a bit different too”.

Anne said, “This was a big move, because we did move across the bay.  The welcoming environment is something that I was really surprised about.  We live in a lovely street, the neighbours are all kind and friendly and we look out for one another.  It’s really been quite an eye opener to come to this community.  It has been absolutely the right thing for us. There is a lot of facilities at Bellarine Lakes, whether you’re a swimmer, table tennis player, play billiards or cards, or enjoy craft.  There is plenty for everyone to do.  I was not a golfer until I came here.  It’s very new to me and very welcoming if you play golf well or not.  Sometimes the golf cart is more fun than the golf, but I keep turning up.

They both agreed that the community aspect is wonderful and that they all look out for one another.  They also praised the wonderful Village Managers and grounds staff for the beautiful streetscape and gardens.  They had not seen another village like it.

Come along and enjoy a two-course luncheon at 12pm on Thursday 7 November, 2024.
