Melbourne Victory is returning to Geelong!
V Newcastle Jets, GMHBA Stadium,
Saturday March 2 – 7.50pm kickoff.
The reigning Hyundai A-League Champions will bring their star-studded line-up to GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 2nd of March, where they’ll square off against the Newcastle Jets in a Grand Final rematch.
Lead by Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda and the goals of Sweden’s Ola Toivonen, the boys in blue will be out to secure a vital three points in the hunt to claim the Premiers Plate and set up a tilt at retaining their Championship crown.
The Round 21 match-up marks the fifth competitive game that Melbourne Victory will play at GMHBA Stadium and the second occasion on which they will have met the Jets, having beaten the Hunter Valley side 4-2 back in the 2016-17 season.
Melbourne Victory Club Captain Carl Valeri is looking forward to the contest, saying the chance to bring football back to the region is exciting.
