Internet and Technology Addicts Anonymous (ITAA) is a twelve-step process based on the principles developed by Alcoholics Anonymous to help people develop long-term sustainable freedom from compulsive screen use. This is based on compassionate listening, mutual support, and practical action.
We have nearly one hundred online meetings every week and dozens of in-person meetings around the world, including one in Geelong. Our meetings are free and open to anyone who struggles with compulsive internet use. We practice observing and letting go of internet and technology use that helps us escape our lives or numb our emotions, and instead progressively seek to develop a minimal and purposeful relationship with our devices.
