If you’re looking for a reason to fill the September school holidays with adventure, creativity and unforgettable family moments, Geelong Wonder Children’s Festival is back in 2026 with its biggest and most exciting program yet.

Running from 14 to 24 September, the much-loved festival transforms central Geelong into a playground of imagination, culminating in the highly anticipated Big Wonder Weekend on 19 and 20 September. Founded and produced by Geelong Arts Centre, the festival invites families from across the region to explore an expanded city-wide celebration packed with live entertainment, hands-on experiences, interactive installations and plenty of opportunities to play, create and discover together.

This year, the festival stretches further than ever before –  from Geelong Arts Centre and the Cultural Precinct, to venues, public spaces and businesses throughout the CBD. Whether you’re planning a full weekend in the city or simply looking for a memorable day out with the kids, there’s something around every corner designed to delight curious minds of all ages.

At the heart of the action is Geelong Arts Centre, which once again serves as the festival’s home base. Families can enjoy a lineup of world-class performances featuring some of Australia’s most loved children’s entertainment.
