Geelong Waterfront Film Foundation are bringing high-energy filmmaking to Geelong with the ’48 Hour Film Frenzy‘ shoot out from October 11-13, 2024. This exciting event sees filmmakers create, produce and submit 4-7 minute short films within 48-hours.
Filmmakers of all abilities are invited to participate, from professionals and students to anyone with a passion for filmmaking. Whether you are using professional equipment or just a smartphone, there is a category for everyone.
With awards in various categories and great prizes, all films are screened locally and shared on digital platforms.
Filmmakers can plan ahead, but must incorporate three surprise elements into their final film: a prop, a line of dialogue, and a Geelong location, which will be revealed at the event’s launch.
An online workshop led by industry professionals will be available to support participants.
Proudly backed by the City of Greater Geelong’s Arts Project Grant, this is an inclusive opportunity for all to experience real-time filmmaking.
