21-22 September from 10am – 4pm
When the Surf Coast bush begins to shine with the gold of wattles, it’s time for Spring and the popular Angair Wildflower & Arts Show. This year the show is on Saturday and Sunday, 21-22 September, 10 am to 4 pm.
Treat yourself, family or friends with a wander through a colourful display of the Surf Coast’s beautiful indigenous flowers, a guided flower tour, or talk to representatives of local environmental agencies and groups. Other features include indigenous plant sales and a nature book stall.
For the first time, visitors who want to get their hands dirty and help the local environment can join one of two special weed identification and weeding tours in nearby bushland.
The art section of the weekend will feature art works and photographs of local flora, fauna and landscapes created by artists from the Greater Geelong and Surf Coast districts.
Children can start the school holidays with nature-themed creative play or by finding out about local birds and animals by using the QR codes on a range of stuffed animals.
Entry tickets to the show allow multiple entry during the weekend.
