Angair Wildflower & Arts Show
20-21 September – 10am – 4pm
The butterflies are sipping nectar from the emerging spring flowers, signaling that it’s time for the popular Angair Wildflower & Arts Show.
This annual event will feature guided bush walks, orchid exhibits and colourful displays of the many indigenous Surf Coast plants from the abundant wattles to the tiny mosses. Indigenous plants will also be on sale.
There’ll be information booths from local environmental organisations such as Parks Victoria, Barwon Water, Friends of Eastern Otways, Eco-logic, the Conservation Ecology Centre, the Country Fire Authority, Alcoa and the Anglesea District Historical Centre with a display marking the 40th anniversary of Anglesea’s popular Coogoorah Park.
The arts section in the Anglesea Community House will feature art works and photographs by local artists who are inspired by the beauty and complexity of nature.
The kids can start the school holidays with nature-themed creative play or by identifying and learning about the local flora on display in a competition using the QR codes.
Entry tickets to the show allow multiple entry on both days.
