18th Amendment Bar

82A Little Malop St Geelong

"2018 Australian Bartender Magazine's Australia's Best Regional Bar"

The 18th Amendment of the United States Constitution effectively established the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in the United States by declaring the production, transport, and sale of alcohol illegal from 1920 until 1933.

Not to be deterred, the bootleggers and back door bartenders created a rapidly growing world of illegal 'speakeasy' venues across America that created and served some of the most well known classic cocktails that we enjoy to this day.

The 18th Amendment Bar invites you to enjoy their concoction of prohibition elegance interlaced with modern innovation. The brainchild of Australian hospitality veteran and Geelong local, Gorge Camorra, the venue oozes charm and style with a speakeasy-style entrance
and sit-down cocktail service for up to 75 guests delivered by expert and friendly staff.

On the menu at The 18th Amendment Bar, you will find all the Prohibition-era classic cocktails. They also feature one of our regions largest range of premium spirits and liqueurs, with over 450 different spirits on offer and over 250 whiskeys and 80 gins. Not only that, but
they also have Whisky, Rum, Gin and Tequila clubs that run Master classes, tasting sessions, meet the Distiller nights and access to limited release spirits.

Upcoming Tasting Sessions:

Wednesday 15 May - Anther Gin (Melbourne based) with Owner Seb Reaburn.

Wednesday 29 May - Dewars and Craigellachie Whiskies
with National Dewars Ambassador Georgie Mann.

Wednesday 5 June - Plantation Rum with National Brand Ambassador Mitch Wilson

Now grab some 'giggle water', 'make some whoopee' and try not to get too 'zozzled'. Open Tuesday-Sunday from 5pm to late.
