A family owned boutique winery off the beaten track and home to the oldest pinot noir vines on the peninsula. Legendary artisan wines, which are handmade, using old world techniques resulting in the finest Burgundian style wines. Curlewis Winery is one of the smallest producers in the region, but the high quality produced has featured on the best wine lists in Australia.
The new cellar door “Appellation” is easy to get comfortable in. Outside it looks like a barn; inside it looks like a hunter’s cabin got the ‘Queer Eye’ treatment. Choose the tunes from the stack of LPs. Relax in the garden areas overlooking the vineyard or the beer hops.
Curlewis owners are not scared of doing things a little differently: wine tastings are served in test tubes, (while a little unorthodox) makes it simple to compare and contrast each wine. Try their world’s first Charneis wine, a blend of Arneis and Chardonnay.
Peckish? Delicious sharing platters of the finest charcutterie, cheeses, pizzitas and more are on offer.
Fancy a winery getaway or a stay upstairs at The Loft accommodation, then you’ve come to the right place.
