Great food and a great atmosphere.

This exciting new addition to the Geelong region, the City of Geelong Bowls Club has a strong focus on building community based relationships and supporting diversity for their staff, members and guests.

It is the newest club in the region, featuring the only undercover bowling green within Geelong, a pro bowls shop and clubhouse with a licensed restaurant and bistro and open 7 days a week.

They are very excited to have introduced a new chef to their team, Jessen Somadoo, whose passion is to create authentic and tasty dishes for members and guests to enjoy in their warm and welcoming restaurant and bistro.

Coming from a Mauritian background, Jessen has over 15 years of industry experience, working as a chef in 5 star hotels, cruise ships, pubs and fine dining eateries, exploring a wide variety of cuisines, and perfecting his skills.

The Paddock Bakery Now Open In Geelong

The Gold Coast’s best and most awarded café for breakfast and lunch is now serving at a new outlet in Federal Mills.

Originating in Burleigh Heads, QLD, the insta-famous Paddock Bakery has spent over a decade honing its artisan recipes to become a mecca for wood-fired sourdough, creme brûlée donuts and mouth-watering pastries, in addition to excellent coffee and all the expected café staples.

Geelong’s Venue Manager/ Head Chef Jeremy Drummond (ex Dunes, Ocean Grove & The Heads, Barwon Heads) says the Paddock’s ‘secret weapon’ is its wood oven. Constructed onsite by specialist trades, it has been built to emulate the Burleigh design and is the centrepiece of the venue. The wood oven will be burning 365 days of the year to provide its signature quality and flavour, and customers can watch the products being crafted by hand, and baked in the oven, via a viewing window.

Having lured some seriously impressive local talent into the bakery, kitchen and patisserie, the Geelong team are set to impress with their delivery of Burleigh's beloved classics, featuring must-haves like dippy eggs and the famed smoked salmon bagel.

Nestled within the historic Federal Mills precinct, this licensed café welcomes families, children, and groups to its spacious 250-person venue and pet-friendly courtyard. Come and enjoy the creative flair and warm hospitality that the passionate team will be delivering daily for breakfast and lunch, from 7.00AM – 4.00PM.
