Geelong
Geelong is 65km from Melbourne across Port Phillip Bay and 75km via freeway from the State capital. Geelong's city centre is bounded by La Trobe Terrace, Corio Bay, Eastern Park and a railway line in the south.
Victoria's second-largest city has one of the country's most dynamic city centres. The Waterfront - one of the few facing north in Victoria - has an exciting array of restaurants, bars and attractions, from Cunningham Pier, past the Royal Geelong
Yacht Club to Eastern Beach.
The Waterfront has undergone a $170 million redevelopment over the past five years. The landscaped foreshore contains several restored historic buildings. An historic woolstores building contains a Deakin University campus and a world-class concert stage, Costa Hall. Eastern Beach features jetties, a famous art-deco swimming pools complex - now restored - parklands, and a world-class restaurant.
Smaller reserves and parks dot the foreshore and inner city Geelong. Johnstone Park is home to the town hall, library and the impressive Geelong Art Gallery. Geelong's commercial and retail centre radiates out from Moorabool Street, the backbone of the town's 1838 survey. The western end of Little Malop Street is the city's cultural precinct, with fine cafes, studios, and art galleries all within walking distance of the Geelong Performing Arts Centre and the Court House Youth Arts Complex.

Cosmetic Refinement Clinic
Speak to the team at the Cosmetic Refinement Clinic about Affirm Fractionated Laser. The Affirm™ laser is a major breakthrough in anti-ageing cosmetic lasers for: Skin Rejuventation, Wrinkle Reduction, Acne Scars, Pigmentation, Stretch marks, Surgical scars, Traumatic scars and Keloid scarring.
The Affirm™ is able to deliver what other fractionated lasers are not able to do: comparatively painless treatments, shorter treatment durations (20-30 minutes), virtually no down time and the vast majority of patients do not require even topical anesthesia and resume normal activity the next day.
Let the team at Cosmetic Refinement Clinic help you with improvements in your complexion, including texture, pore size, and pigmentation (often noted after the first treatment). With additional treatments, a collagen stimulation response (remodelling and new collagen synthesis) evolves over time and is typically associated with improvements in overall skin tone as well as softening of
pre-existing scars. Remarkably, improvements may continue to evolve even months after the last treatment.

Geelong Waterfront
The Geelong waterfront is a vibrant and fascinating place.
It is a beautiful bay and working harbour featuring great
restaurants and cafes offering alfresco dining and stunning views. The foreshore is lined with sculptures and boating memorabilia along the walking and cycling paths. Geelong's famous Eastern Beach, just a short walk from the city centre, is a hive of waterfront activity. Waterfront Geelong's jewel is an art-deco swimming pool and park complex off Ritchie Boulevard and Eastern Beach Road. Built in the 1930s, the park and pools have become City landmarks, drawing crowds for more than 70 years.
During the 1990s a public appeal and city council support funded a multi-million-dollar rejuvenation. The main pool's promenade and swimming decks were replaced; the children's pool cleaned up, stairways reconstructed, the ornamental fountain and its flamingos rebuilt, new paths constructed and rotundas renewed. The main pool, which covers five acres, now has a rejuvenated water playground, including platforms, diving boards, a racing pool and central island.
Visitors to Eastern Beach soon realise there's much more on offer than a swim. The lawns, playground, pavilions, restaurants, cafés and kiosk provide wide scope for fun and enjoyment for all. You can walk around the main pool promenade with Corio Bay and the city in the background, have a picnic on the lawns or relax under a tree.

Geelong’s favourite “strip” shopping area has to be Pakington Street, or Pako as it is affectionately know to the locals. This cosmopolitan street runs approximately 3.4 kms from West Geelong in the north to the river end of Newtown in the south.
The West Geelong section has an Italian flavour thanks to the Italian immigrants of the 1950’s, while the Newtown end retains the Edwardian and Victorian architecture and character of the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
Pakington Street boasts a diverse mix of traditional restaurants, Edwardian hotels, funky new cafes, designers fashion stores, upmarket gift shops, European and Australian delicatessens and cake shops, old world antique shops, juice bars, great Italian style Pizza restaurants, hairdressers, florists, beauty therapists, homewares, craft, shoes and accessories.
There’s plenty of free parking areas behind the main strip,
so plan to stay the day, enjoy the great coffee shops
and cafes and shop till you drop!
