The Great Ocean Road
This world famous road extends for more than 300 km from
Torquay to Peterborough, along Victoria’s southern coastline.
It was built to honour the sacrifice made by World War I Diggers
and completed in 1932. The road winds alongside some
of the most dramatic and scenic seascapes in the world.

Lorne
Lorne’s marvelous beach with its white sands and even waves
is only one attraction that has been bringing visitors to Lorne for over 100 years. Lorne has it all, with some of the best shopping, restaurants, art and craft, accommodation and nature trails on the coast. Visit the information centre for details.

Apollo Bay & Hinterland
Apollo Bay’s appeal as a holiday and fishing resort includes magnificent bush and rainforest walks, a glow-worm gallery, hang-gliding and horse riding. Apollo Bay also hosts the Old Cable Station Museum. The Great Otway National Park incorporates the former Otway National Park and Angahook-Lorne, Carlisle and Melba Gully State Parks, as well as areas of State forest and other Crown land. The new national park covers 103,000 hectares, an increase in park area of more than 60,000 hectares. This park represents all that is special about the Otways: the tall wet forests, ancient rainforests, the drier forests of the inland slopes and the very diverse heathlands and woodlands, fringed by a spectacularly rugged coastline and studded with some of Victoria's most striking waterfalls
and other attractions. A daily bus service between Geelong, Lorne and Apollo Bay connects with train services to Melbourne. For timetable details call V/Line Country Information on 13 2232.

The Twelve Apostles
The Twelve Apostles are world-recognised icons of the Great Ocean Road and a central feature of the Port Campbell National Park. The extensive boardwalks, viewing platforms and Interpretative Centre are visited by over a million visitors a year. A tunnel under the Great Ocean Road leads to the viewing platforms.
